Good (and cheap) for hunting, but does have drawbacks. For years, when I’d go deer hunting with my hunting camp, people would tell me how deer would hear someone yapping on the radio and spook before you could get a shot. Therefore, people should turn it off when theres a deer getting close. That sometimes led to people missing important details of the hunt, and even me being scolded by my dad since he had to walk into the woods to see if I saw ok. They work but are very cheaply made I used these radios during hunting both dove and hog. I got four of them because the area I dove hunt in has a lot of tree cover and my buddies and I spread out. We use them to tell each other what direction the doves are coming from so that we are ready to shoot since you don’t get a lot of time before they go behind different groups of trees.They work fine for dove because you can be fairly loud.
