The Midland MXT115 mobile GMRS two-way radio features 15 GMRS channels and includes the NOAA weather channels with weather scan and alert. For extended range, the MXT115 has 15-watts of Transmit power and includes 8 repeater channels. The unit includes an external Magnetic mount antenna. The innovative MXT115 has a USB connection on the front of the unit to charge mobile devices. The ultra-compact design will mount just about anywhere. Best of all, the MXT115 provides the ability to talk to other Midland and most other GMRS two-way (walkie-talkie) radios on the full power GMRS channels 1-7 and 15-22. The mobile unit also features 142 privacy codes, Channel scan, programmable squelch, silent operation, Flip frame design to install on or under the dash with slide out removal of radio while Bracket remains mounted and a high contrast backlit LCD display for daytime or night use. The micro mobile is great for RVs, road trips, ATV/UTV activities, and on the Farm or Ranch. There is very, very little cell service in that area of rural Arizona.I already had a pair of Midland X-talkers that this radio would connect to. Does as advertised, but receiver is not vey sensitive. The radio does what it is advertised as doing and is reasonably easy to use. There are however a few minor shortcomings and one major one.Minor:1: The text for the settings is useless, I often need to look at the manual leaflet to remember what each setting is.2: I bought it for use outside the US, where the FRS-only channels need not be blocked, would be nice to have a setting for unblocking them.3: There is no way to lock the settings, desirable to leave it unattended…

Quality control issue but fixed Radio came with a bad receiver. Can’t even talk a half a mile. There are been several reviews on radio sites about this radio and apparently this particular model is having problems with the receiver.
