Design change not an improvement! I bought a pair of MEIR stretch cargo pants last year about this time of year for hiking, fishing, etc. Loved them! The fit, the design, the light breathable material, and water repellancy…… what the heck is this you’ve come out with this year. The stiff obviously cheaper nylon material feels plastic baggy. No cord at the hem to bungy down to keep critters out at the ankles. But the worst is where they moved the cargo pockets. They’re at the front of the thigh??? News flash MEIR that means…
Very Impressive We were so impressed with these pants — we had 2 pairs that we took to Ireland/Scotland that my husband traveled with for a week. These held up just as well as the North Face pants! He wears a 36 in the North Face brand and we ordered the XL in this brand — they were just slightly big in the waist (which my husband appreciated since he ate too much bread and Guinness) – but the legs and the length were excellent compared to the 36 size.
MIER: my go-to light weight cargo pants I like cargo pants for hiking and touring…nice to have an extra pocket for a passport or a map. Columbia was my favorite BUT they started making their pockets too shallow and with only one zipper pocket. For travel touring I like to have the security of some zipper pockets and lighter weight for packing ease.MIER should be at the top of the list for cargo pants (I had to go to page 2 or 3 to find these).
