Great small compass This is a great small compass! The bezel rotates so can legitimately use it as a map tool and so far it’s very accurate. For such a small compass it’s pretty easy to read and useful. It’s compact enough that I can fit in into any pack so it’s pretty handy as a backup that you can actually depend on.

Nice little compass. Seems like a nice little well-made compass. Decided to spend a little more for the azimuth ring model. Plan to use for urban orienteering in foreign cities and as a backup compass for backpacking. One caveat: The index arrow on the base plate points towards the lanyard hole whereas it should point away for better convenience while using the compass attached to the lanyard around the neck: see any Brunton or Suunto orienteering compass.

Much Better Than Expected Several years ago I got utterly lost in Pompeii, and only dumb luck saved me from missing my cruise ship, and I wanted a travel compass for my next cruise.
