The Mora Bushcraft Forest is an all around version of the heavier Mora Bushcraft series, featuring a slightly thinner (2.5 mm), 4.3-inch (109 mm)profile-ground stainless steel blade. Green patterned grip and sheath. Mora Stainless steel options are ideally suited for marine, fishing, outdoor and construction applications, where knives see hard use and are commonly exposed to dirt and moisture. The chromium content of stainless steel makes them less susceptible to corrosion and oxidation than carbon steels, giving them a longer life overall. Mora Knives are made from high-quality Sandvik steel. Sandvik knife steels are characterized by ultra-fine carbides that result in superb forging and hardening properties. The absence of large carbide deposits promotes excellent edge sharpness for optimum cutting performance. Morakniv has been manufacturing the highest-quality knives in Mora, Sweden since 1891. Professionals worldwide trust the quality materials and fine craftsmanship of Mora Knives. Mora knives feature ergonomically-designed handles and employ premium-quality knife steel that is optimally adapted to the task for which the knife is intended.

Good for the Money I was hesitant about buying this knife at first, because I have had many rat-tail blades split the grip of my knives out when I put them to extended work. With this blade, I haven’t had that happen. It was recommended to me by someone I knew whom was attending a survival school (Sigma 3) and, though skeptical, I gave it a shot and was glad I did.

Best for the Price Anywhere. Mora knives are the best. I was turned on to them years ago and left the SOG, S&W, mass-market gearhead knives. Most of those are non-functional in wilderness applications. The Moar knife is easy to grip, even when wet, they are perfect for bushcraft applications (skinning, building shelters, utility applications while camping/hiking). They are lightweight, razor sharp out of the box, and best of all , inexpensive compared to other bushcraft knives. I buy 3 or 4 different types every few years…

Nice knife, shaving sharp out of the box As everyone knows Mora has very good quality and inexpensive knives. I have bigger, more expensive knives and if I had to go out into the woods with just one this could very well be it. I am used to thicker blades and wish this was just maybe as thick as the “Companion heavy Duty” knife I also bought of theirs but am pretty comfortable that the quality of this will be good enough for it to hold up under any sensible uses.
