The Mora Bushcraft Survival Knife is an indispensable tool for a variety of outdoor, hunting, emergency or tactical applications. At the core is a Bushcraft Stainless Knife with a razor-sharp, burly 1/8-inch (3.2 mm) thick stainless steel blade. The spine of the blade is ridge ground so that it can be used with a fire starter. The Bushcraft Survival version comes with a high-visibility orange plastic sheath that holds a Mora all-weather Fire Starter (included) and features an integrated diamond sharpener. Mora Fire Starters will yield 7,000 strikes that can produce a 3,000 Degree spark, even in wet conditions. Mora knives made from Sandvik Stainless steel are ideally suited for marine, fishing, outdoor and construction applications, where knives see hard use and are commonly exposed to dirt and moisture. The chromium content of stainless steel makes them less susceptible to corrosion and oxidation than carbon steels, giving them a longer life overall. Mora Knives are made from high-quality Sandvik steel. Sandvik knife steels are characterized by ultra-fine carbides that result in superb forging and hardening properties. The absence of large carbide deposits promotes excellent edge sharpness for optimum cutting performance. Morakniv has been manufacturing the highest-quality knives in Mora, Sweden since 1891.

One major flaw For the money, it’s an excellent bushcraft knife, and will resist rust better than its black counterpart. The grip is excellent, as is the sheath. Unfortunately, the stainless steel Mora uses is prone to minor edge chipping (I’ve had two of these and it has occurred with both of them).

Excellent light-medium duty buschraft survival knife I have both versions, black and orange, of the Mora Bushacraft Survival. the black is carbon steel and the orange is stainless. They are both great knives for the money. The blade in the orange Bushcraft is just a tad thicker. They both have hefty blades and will perform light to medium tasks very well. They both come in the same package with a very good sheath, a sharp spine for fire starters and a sharpening steel plate.I would like Mora to make a stainless steel version of the Black…

What a great knife I love being outdoors, and I love camping. I have several knives with all sorts of uses, but most of them are bigger blades.I’ve been looking for a smaller knife that isn’t too small. Something that can get the job done on a lot of tasks.I’ve finally found it. First off, I love Mora of Sweden. I don’t think they make a bad knife. The Bushcraft Survival though, it’s a bit bigger and more robust than some of their “smaller” knives. Sure, it’s also a bit more…
