The Morakniv Companion MG is an all-in-one knife for outdoor enthusiasts with a patterned, high-friction grip that makes it comfortable to hold and easy to handle. The Companion MG features a 4.1-inch (104 mm) blade of 1095 carbon steel that reaches a hardness of HRC 58-60. High carbon steels are preferred in applications that demand durability and can be easily re-sharpened when needed. The Companion MG will perform well during high impact usage such as creating tinder or cutting wood. When used in wet applications, the blade should be dried after use to avoid blade corrosion and may exhibit a patina or natural discoloration over time through normal usage. You should also clean and oil your blade regularly especially after it comes in contact with acidic foods like oranges. Includes a military green sheath with belt clip. Overall length: 8.6 inch (218 mm); Blade length: 4.1 inches (104 mm); Blade thickness: 0.08 inch (2.0 mm); Weight w/ sheath: 3.9 oz. (110 g). Limited lifetime manufacturer’s warranty. Made in Sweden.

It’s a Mora! Everybody knows Mora makes a GREAT knife and this one was no different. The sheath has good retention, no issues with it coming out. Since it is carbon I went ahead and forced a patina on it to make caring for it easier (plus it just looks cool). It’s extremly light weight, in fact I usually throw it around my neck once I’ve made camp. The ONLY down side is that companions don’t come with a 90° spine, so you do have to grind the spine down to strike a ferro rod. Over all its an awesome…

Buy this Morakniv for you, your brother, father, mother, siblings, co workers and another one just because… If you are new to the knife world or planning on getting anyone a knife as a present, Morakniv blades is probably one of the best choice ever. You can never go wrong with buying and owning one of these, heck buy 2 and 1 for each member of your family.

Excellent Knife at a Great Price I cant believe that some people are complaining about this knife rusting, its carbon steel it will rust if you do not take care of it which basically just means oiling it once in a while. I figured that was common knowledge but that is apparently not the case (there is a stainless one too if you are going to be around water a lot). For the price there really isn’t anything anyone should complain about, unless it comes broken or bent. For 15 bucks I would be hard pressed to find a knife of this…
