Morakniv Equus hoof trimming knives and farrier’s knives have been developed in close collaboration with blacksmiths and veterinarians. Efficient, easy to work with and can be honed. Knives have been made in Mora since the 17th century and our knives have been ending up into the hands of people all over the world. Our knives are manufactured in Mora, Sweden, giving Mora of Sweden total control of production and quality. A Morakniv is extremely sharp and has a sharpness that lasts. Our knives always utilize high-quality knife steel that is optimally adapted to the task for which the knife is intended at prices that make sense.

the bomb for “batoning” firewood Don’t own a horse, so, while its probably great for hoof care, that isn’t why I bought it. I recently bought a titanium stove for winter tent camping. Gotta feed that thing, and it wants relatively small pieces of wood. Mostly, I am limited to foraging up what is on the ground, and you often have to get into some of those pieces to get good firewood. I bought a “haxe” (taint hatchet, taint axe–think Les Stroud Bushman size) but I just didn’t really like it that much for this purpose…
