The Morakniv Garberg is a powerful, full tang, carbon steel knife with either a tough and handsome leather sheath, or with a MOLLE multi-mount system that includes a Polymide sheath and accessories for fastening the Garberg to packs, clothes, walls, or vehicles. The Garberg’s full tang blade extends the entire length of the knife, making it the best type of fixed blade knife for handling harsh tasks without risk of breaking. The blade of the Morakniv Garberg is top grade carbon steel that features excellent edge performance, razor sharpness, high hardness, and exceptional corrosion resistance. It features a square-ground spine that can be used as a striker with a firesteel (sold separately). The Garberg version with MOLLE Compatible Mounts includes the Garberg knife, a Polyamide sheath, secondary lock for carrying multiple Morakniv knives, belt loop, multi mount base, narrow velcro strap, and two wide velcro straps. The Garberg version with leather sheath includes the Garberg knife and a fine leather sheath. (Each version of the knife is sold separately). Just as great as the stainless version Just as great as the stainless version, but with the benefits of carbon steel. I got the stainless in 2016 and use it all the time. Now I have the benefits of both knives. The leather and multi-mount are both good options. You can never go wrong with Mora. Another outstanding knife and I highly recommend this blade.
Swedish Steel, Swedish Ingenuity, Swedish Quality This carbon steel Garberg knife was long awaited by Morakniv customers. It was first produced in stainless Sandvik steel; the carbon version took longer to set up manufacturing processes, and Morakniv wanted to get it right. At first, it’s a bit hard to take these knives seriously, as they greatly resemble what you’d call a kitchen knife. Knife is awesome!!! MOLLE SUCKS!!!! Edited to correct smart phone errors….Ok so I just received my Mora Garberg today and upon unboxing it and admiring the knife itself I then got to ponder and ruminate upon the rest of the boxes contents.Short review is the knife is a solid 5 star item.
