Perfect knife for carving/whittling Even a beginning whittler needs a good knife – and this carving knife fits the bill. It is super sharp, easily resharpens with the strop I purchased (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FFJ9TLW/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_9), and fits well in your hand. There is also a Morakniv that has a longer blade, but the shorter blade in this knife is easier to handle. It is a great overall knife for carving or whittling.

good knife A very lovely sharp knife. The tip needs to be handled with care because it will bend easily. Comes sharp. You will probably have to do some work on the handle to make it work for you. I sanded my handle and will oil it soon. The problem is that the handle is made of a very rough wood that splinters and you don’t want to get a sticker while working with a knife.

Sharp and perfect for spoon carving I am just getting into carving spoons, so pretty much on a whim, I decided to order this knife. It just came in today and I’ve already put it to use. Other reviews suggested that the knives people received were relatively dull, but in my case this knife is incredibly sharp. The edge can easily cut paper without tearing. Simply placing the point against a sheet of paper and moving it will cut through effortlessly. The blade is sharp enough to carve my oak spoon more importantly.
