Great gut hook – OK knife. Used this to field dress a deer over the weekend. The issue is the blade isn’t super sharp in terms of making the initial cuts – I’d prefer to have a typical buck knife over this. The one big benefit of this is that the gut hook is super useful.I think this is probably better for skinning and not super useful for field dressing. If you’re looking for a field dressing knife I’d recommend getting a 50$ buck knife.

Great little knife, sheathe fits standard sized belts This little guy is pretty sweet. Been using it for a few years.Pros:- Gut hook- Riveted back for traction- Stubby curved blade makes bone and joint cutting easy- Finger hole for better grip- Included carrying sheathe fits most standard beltsCons:- Would like it to be a little bit bigger- Handle can come loose after a while

Good little knife so far for a good little price It has done as it should every time. I have so far used this on 2 caribou, about 20 grouse, and 2 hares. So far so good. I have yet to sharpen it so not sure how the metal will respond. It was really sharp right out of the box which is obviously what you want. My buddy took the first caribou then grouse and hares then I took the 2nd caribou. So by the 2nd caribou I figured it might dull some but so far good. I’ve got a moose tag to fill and I’ll see how that goes with this. But for the price to…
