The radios are very good even in a mess of other frequencies The radios are very good even in a mess of other frequencies. The protection isn’t the best. We use these in HazMat cleanup scenarios and dressed-out in suits and harnesses they are easily detached. Out of 8-radios we are fixing 2 on their first outing.
Good range in valleys, only about 1-2 miles in Urban/Hills I have 10 of these in total. Bought this pack of 8 and a separate pack of two for our family emergency kit. The range in an urban environment is about 1 mile, after that, it varies on line of sight, so if you want to communicate further than that in an urban environment, this product won’t work so well. Our family wanted to have a way to communicate in emergencies, camping trips, and other outings when our cell phones don’t work well. This product is best in a open valley, hunting, etc. They…
