The Pyrite trekking poles are expedition worthy poles made with durable aircraft grade 7075 aluminum. These rugged poles come equipped with comfortable dual-density rubber grips, anti-shock system, removable hiking baskets, replaceable rubber boot tips, and durable carbide tips that provide exceptional traction on rock, trail and scree.

One got stuck unlocked but it turns out that is not uncommon with internal locking poles and is a very easy fix (fully extend(past stop) then tighten). When anti-shock is disabled it still has a slight springiness between the neutral state and compressed, but does still provide the benefits of having the optional lock.
