Heavy duty, good value A lot of knife for the money. A five star value. Not a high end survival knife, but a serviceable camp knife. The coating on the blade is no big deal as others have reported. I’m not wild about the sheath and the retaining band is difficult to snap. Still it is light weight and serviceable. Though not my first choice, this knife would work for hunting, fishing, or camping. The grips were very slightly loose when received. After tightening they have held secure. You get what you pay…
The Best $13 Fixed Blade Knife I’ve Found This is the best $13.00 knife I’ve ever bought. It’s nothing fancy. Its a plain slab of stainless steel 4mm thick from about 1 1/4″ behind the tip of the blade to the pommel. The blade is 5″ from the handle to the tip, has a flat grind from the spine to the edge and has a drop point. It’s 1 3/8″ wide at the mid-point. Not bad! Thick drop point with a full flat grind and it came sharp right out of the box. Sheath is not fancy but it’s adequate so I can’t complain. Don’t think too hard on this one, if you want one and it’s still going for $13 you should get one. Though one thing I don’t like about this knife is the handle material listed as “nylon fiber” which I think is a fancy term for plastic. The handle pieces are not solid, they are a bit skeletonized underneath and the material itself I am not fond of…
