The ultralight fabric is a 300D Thickened Oxford fabric with PU coating, providing a tough, waterproof shelter for sleeping in the woods or just resting in the shade. Excellent quality. This is a quality tarp that holds it’s own with much more expensive tarps. Lightweight and roomy san well as good looking. The stakes that come with the tarp are your standard tubular j-hook stakes. They’ll work but I recommend upgrading to better tent stakes.
Poles need to be stronger. The poles are the problem. For the size of this thing, they need to be longer to make being under it comfortable. Even while sitting at a picnic table. Even more important, they are way under strength. One good gust broke a pole. I wanted to give it a try even though I had read that they were flimsy. Aside from the poles, it is pretty light and packs away better that most shades. Day number two I utilized some trees to put it back up. This helped.
So far so good. So far so good. We ordered this after our last camping trip. I was tired of nature in my food and the hot sun or rain causing me to constantly shift our gear around. I set this up alone last nigh in the dark for the fist time and it was a bit of a pain, but I managed. This morning I tightened everything up and noticed the poles are bending a bit but its holding steady.
