Packaging caused my item to break The plates and bowl are held together by a blue sticky tack substance, and it took so much force to pull my plates apart that my “break resistant” plate now has a massive gaping hole in it.
Don’t worry! The pieces are NOT glued together! I purchased the Nordic Ware Microwave 3 Piece Dinnerware Set before seeing the comments and later was concerned when I read the reviews saying that the pieces are glued together. My set arrived today. It does SEEM like they are, however, they are joined together with a rubbery sort of adhesive disc. Think “Silly Putty” on steroids. Beware these dishes bite back! Bought for the “microwave safe” aspect for my son to take to college. Unpacking the dishes and cut my finger on the edge of the plate. On inspection all the edges of the plates ragged and super sharp. Rectified with some sandpaper but still, who is checking these things out of the factory, where’s the quality control guy’s?
