Good but the light button and thin wires cause some concern. Ok, so as the Director of IT I am always looking for new items to test our lines during network installs. This product was very good and I use it often. There is one things that I do not like about it and that is the light button that is on the side of the hand held receiver. This button is exposes fairly easily and can turn the light on without you knowing (as in, you put in back in the package or in your tool box). This will drain the battery. Good tester but poor quality. Really liked the tester at first. It did everything i wanted which was remote locating, wire mapping and length testing. I probably used it about a dozen times when running new drops in our office. The last time i tried to use the tester it keeps showing that pairs 67 68 6g are shorted. If you use a remote it will find it but it still shows errors on 6,7 and 8. I have contacted the manufacture and they say to warrantee it through the place it was purchased, and since amazon only has a 30 day…
Just like the description, allowedquick and easy cable checks Works exactly as described. I carefully read the reviews before purchasing, and was aware of some of the quirks. I have had no problems. For me, it did exactly what I needed. The cable trace tool (the probe) worked well. Yes, the sound is odd, and you have to be very close to the right cable to find the tone.
