Good skinner Bought this wondering how good the quality would be after reading reviews of many recent old timer knives. This. Knife. Is. Awesome. It needed a little sharpening out of the box but was generally pretty sharp anyway. Some picky people might complain that there was some *slight* scuffing around the edge where it was sharpened in the factory but the whole blade is almost a brushed finish anyway so it isn’t very noticeable. Makes An Excellent Chuck Wagon Blade! Love this Schrade blade design. I have a smaller, more medium-sized one and another just a little smaller still. But this larger one is very versatile, like I said, i love the design. It’s used on camp-outs for cutting meat for grilling, with its pseudo-cleaver shape and very sharp edge, or as a utility knife for cutting up veggies, cooked meats, etc. As you might expect with the price, it will lose its edge sooner than your US-made Case or Buck, but it’s nice steel and sharpens easily. Balance is excellent, metal is good quality and came very sharp I know that the main “complaint” about this item tends to be that they are no longer the original made in the USA versions.
