Not sure of I would buy it again Handle fits very well in my hand. The leather sheath is fantastic but wonder how long the stitching will last. The blade length is perfect for what I was looking for. A full tang blade that’s not too big but functional for basic duty. The steal used to construct the blade appears to me weaker and lighter than a regular buck knife blade. So I am not expecting long life for this blade. Only time will tell. I bought it because the price dropped to $23 US…I just couldn’t pass it by at that price
Old Timer PHW Pro Hunter Full Tang Fixed Blade… The sheath is junk, but the knife itself is far and above the fit and finish I expected. Its just magical. The knife came sharp but not real sharp and that is fine. I prefer to set the angles and the sharpness myself. It will shave hair right out of the box though. Its a wonderful looking knife as well. I would recommend as anyone who wants this size knife. Doesn’t have to be a first timer, just anyone looking for a decent knife. I will likely order several more for gifts in my own hand…
Okay quality, sheath is near useless. It’s a decent knife for the price. I’m not blown away by the quality. I suppose it is tops as far as cheap imported Chinese knives go. It’s too bad that Schrade/Old Timer/ Taylor Knives have chosen to go the cheap Chinese crap route instead of making knives in America like they used to. Now they are just living off the name that they established back when they were still great.
