Note:
Our knives are made from a mixture of quality high carbon steel and nickel steel. It is important to note that this is not Stainless Steel. High carbon steel is prone to corrosion if not properly cared for just in the same way as cast iron pots and pans.

Maintenance:
If you are familiar with caring for cast iron, care of a Damascus blade is similar. Pick up some lubricant such as Seal 1 Lubricant or Froglube (If you intend to use your knife with food, olive oil suffices as a lubricant). A little will go a long way to give your blade a long and happy life. All it takes is a quick wipe down of the blade to ensure that your blade is protected. We recommend doing this once a week, more frequently depending on usage of course.
