Almost right. This works as good as can be expected and I use it quite a bit. The flashing bright blue LED is quite annoying to dark adapted eyes. A poor design choice for the intended application.

Red light is decent. The problem is every time … Red light is decent. The problem is every time you turn it on a blue LED flashing to tell you the battery level. After being in dark skies for hours this blue light is very bright…..2 stars for making the battery level flash blue (why not make red).

Great light for astronomy and other general uses! I have had a few red lights for astronomy, and this one is by far the best. It cycles through levels of red brightness before the levels of white brightness, and can be turned off by a long press so there is no need to cycle through the white light to turn it off. It is also magnetic, and very handily magnets right to my scope. It is also very handy do have it magnet to the inside for hands free internal adjustments like mirror adjustment. It came in very handy when replacing a guide scope foot…
