It fits well and I don’t think I would want a small. I think a small would look like I had a child’s vest on. However, since I am fairly flat in the chest, I had to really cinch the front straps down. The vest nearly touches the opposite side. The Best Running Vest I’ve tried four other hydration packs for trail running, and this has been the best one by far. I prefer a vest that uses a bladder rather than just bottles and I love that I can carry either or both comfortably in this pack. There’s plenty of room in the pack to store food, extra socks, a light jacket, headlamp, and all of the other essentials for a multi-hour frolic through the woods.
