The materials are good enough for a winter overnight under the stars in snow or sleet. It’s more spacious in width and height than military surplus bivy bags. There is still some room left for your shoes on the side and a small backpack around 35L as a pillow. It also had a nice bug mesh. Very compact and light when packed, so great as a quick temporary shelter in the woods. Of course, if you don’t like to sleep in tight spaces,…

Top quality materials in a small easy to pack size. Taken this out several times so far, longest trip being a couple nights in the Catskills escarpment trail. It rained the first night and snowed the next, both times I stayed dry and warm. As long as you aren’t claustrophobic, this bivy will keep you protected. A friend took another bivy that only had an open mesh to cover his face and he ended up returning it to pick this up after seeing mine in the wild.
