Excellent and creative product. This is a must have for an electronics hobbiest, back yard mechanic, camper etc. I took a star off, because the illumination drops fairly quickly after short use. However, it maintains that lower brightness for a long time before needing to replace the batteries. I don’t know if that is a function of the batteries themselves or a design flaw in the circuitry of the unit. Maybe they should have designed it to use one more battery while keeping the brightness capability of the LEDs maxed out…
They are great.. even for chrocheting! I did use one of the caps which I bought as Christmas gifts. It was an emergency, you see!I had accepted a job of repairing and 82 year old, hand crocheted, bedspread which was made out of thread, a bit smaller than kite string. The stitches were tiny and I had my clipped-on, flip-up, magnifiers on my glasses so I could see, but there wasn’t enough light.BINGO! I could SEE those stitches clearly! I could not have finished that very detailed crochet repair work without…
Love this hat, great for walking at night especially with dogs. It’s one of my MUST HAVE purchases. Superb cap, really helps when walking the dogs at night! The cap has three settings: lights aiming at your feet, lights aiming further out, and a combo of the two settings for maximum lighting. I usually have the lights at my feet so I know where I’m going, but the second setting is really useful too if the dogs run off ahead of me.The cap seems solidly made, I have had no problems in over a year. I had to replace the battery once in the year, which isn’t bad at all considering…
