Does not get any odor. Works well. They do not get that nasty sponge smell. I really like using these. The only thing that I don’t love is that you go through a lot of soap. The soap doesn’t stay in sponge and foam up as much as a regular sponge, so basically after each dish, you have to put dish soap on it again. Other than that I like them. I replace about every month, as they start to wear down a bit.
No more stinky sponges in the camping gear!!! I bought this to try at home prior to a weeklong camping trip. Every year, we buy a sponge and dry it out as best we can before putting it in a ziplock bag and moving on to our next campsite and every year the sponge gets nasty, slimy… stinky.
