Petzl Tikka Compact Headlamp (200 Lumens) COMPACT HEADLAMP FOR PROXIMITY LIGHTING AND SOME MOVEMENT 200 LUMENS Simple and compact, the TIKKA headlamp offers lumen brightness and a wide beam. The Petzl Tikka Compact Headlamp is practical for outdoor activities like camping or trekking, or for travelling, and also for daily activities and projects around the house. The simple and compact headlamp offers 200-lumen brightness and a wide beam. It’s easy to use, thanks to its single button with which you can quickly and easily select the three lighting modes: proximity, movement and distance vision. With a phosphorescent reflector, it helps you find it in the dark, and the red lighting prevents members of a group from blinding each other, while preserving night vision and stealth. TIKKA is a hybrid headlamp that is also compatible with the CORE rechargeable battery.

Absolutely amazing I admit, this was my first headlamp, so I do not have much experience to compare this to, but I loved it! Used this on a 3 day backpacking trip, it’s lightweight, bright, adjustable in both lumens and the strap. What more could you ask for! The hubs now wants one too ðPlus, Petzl sells a little “lantern” you can set the headlamp into to hang in your tent. Will be purchasing that soon! Though, not necessary, just a perk!
Siiiiick! Good as it gets. Had a much more expensive “tactical quality” lamp that pooped out too soon and used weird and moody CR123s. These Petzl folks are the specialist-kings of this device– the “iPhone of headlamps,” if you will. And the price, for its superb performance, seems too good to be true–but ain’t. Most highly recommended!
Fantastic little headlamp I can’t believe how lightweight and bright this thing is. The switch is nice in that if you have it at a specific setting for a while and press it again it shuts the light off rather than forcing you to cycle through every level of brightness before you can turn it off. It has a very adjustable headband and is very comfortable to wear due to the width of the band and the lightness overall of the light. I bought this for camping and backpacking. It replaced an older high-end Princeton Tec…
