At the low setting it is great for showing whats out in front of me I run on county park trails that I know well. I run at 5am and I use this light to avoid stuff in the trails. At the low setting it is great for showing whats out in front of me. But I dont see a major difference between the high and low settings. The light doesnt bounce around, stays secure all the time. For me, this is a great light. Small, lightweight, secure on my head. What more could you ask for

I love their products and this new one is no exception This is the second Petzl lamp that I have purchased. I gave the first one to the wife to wear when she sews on her craft project. I love their products and this new one is no exception. Very bright broad beam, maybe not at a distance but that is not what I bought it for. Another feature that they have changed which I like is when you turn it on, the first level is low and then push button again if you need higher power.

Great headlamp – excellent combination of features, simplicity, and price point Great headlamp. Petal does it right! They’ve improved this model from the previous, adding more lumens, and longer run-time. The face of the headlamp glows in the dark after powering down, so you can locate it in the dark in your tent :)Light weight, long run-time on 3 AAA’s, dead-simple operation, basic water-resistance. Just about perfect.
