great simple, reliable light source very much like the Tikka plus that I had for over a decade. had to replace that one when I finally broke the housing. like the hinged battery compartment much better than the pry apart one I used to have. also this one is brighter. I like that the first click puts you on low instead of high right away. use mine for power loss, up close work. good and uncomplicated. I have a black diamond headlamp also but don’t use half the features. keep mostly for hardcore outdoors stuff. this is more…

Great headlamp, very pleased Pretty awesome headlamp. I am finally getting back into camping now that my kids are old enough to take along. Great headlamp – excellent combination of features, simplicity, and price point Great headlamp. Petal does it right! They’ve improved this model from the previous, adding more lumens, and longer run-time. The face of the headlamp glows in the dark after powering down, so you can locate it in the dark in your tent :)Light weight, long run-time on 3 AAA’s, dead-simple operation, basic water-resistance. Just about perfect.
