Perfect for many different environments! I have used this blanket three times since I have received it and it has worked great each time under different conditions. I used it during the day at a park. I used it on a very damp night in the mountains closer to the beach with success, the moisture in the air didn’t soak the blanket – just bubbled on top and the back side remained dry. Large, soft, but perhaps not very durable. It’s definitely a large blanket, the primary reason I got it. The secondary reason that I got it was the weather/waterproof bottom so that it stays dry on damp ground.Note regarding the backing, it is not a canvas backing. It feels like a vinyl rubber. That is why you can’t run it through the washer/dryer because it’ll straight melt. Good quality and true sizing I bought this blanket mostly because I was looking for something large that I could take to the beach. I’ll be giving it a tryout next week.
