Start Fires with a Firestarter Pros: they burn well once lit by some wood splinters, keep burning long enough to really get even damp wood going, wrapped in plastic inside the box, great deal for a bunch of firestartersCons: smell a bit like chemicals especially when they are first lit (of course)All-around nice product that makes getting a roaring fire going really easy.
No kindling or paper needed This is it. No need for paper, no need for kindling, even with the large pieces of hard wood we use. I literally put two of these under my wood grate in my fireplace and stacked wood on top of the grate. I lit the starter and they stayed lit for 20 minutes easily. The fire was going nice and hot without any concern or worry. It even started the wood evenly so it was easy to keep going. I will buy this again and again.
Very Pleased but Needs Improvement…Update… needs no improvement Update… this product needs no improvement. The first time I used the product the weather was cool thus making the product harder to break apart. Recently used it in warmer weather and this product is awesome. No problem breaking it apart.
