They stay cool for the 8 or so hours I need them … I purchased these to replace ice packs in a cooler I carry to work. They stay cool for the 8 or so hours I need them to, and I have had no issues with leaking or condensation with them as I’ve had with other packs. As other reviewers have mentioned, they do get a bubble/area of thickness in them if they aren’t frozen with weight above them, but that is not an issue for me.
Great Across Country and Across Town This is our second purchase of exactly these. I sometimes ship chocolate across the country and this keeps the contents cool enough to prevent melting. And they are then reusable! Pretty awesome.Our main use for this is lunches and trips to the parks. Toss them in and no worries about melting ice. So inexpensive that if you accidentally puncture it or abrade it by dropping it or your child chews on it without your knowledge, you can throw it out. I think the leakproof descriptor is…
Perfect for traveling with breast milk! EDIT: 2.5 years later, I am breast feeding again and went to my box of Ice Brix. They have expanded to the point where I have to throw them out, because there is air around the gel so it won’t keep my breastmilk as cold. I am however, purchasing another box of these because they are great.I use these for traveling with breast milk.
