does the job Seems like a good, effective device: filters my settled well water just fine. But critical comments about the lid are spot on… whoever designed that thing should look for another career (or at least consider product testing before release).By the way, there’s now an alternative filter, the “551Z,” that purports to remove lead – don’t see it on Amazon yet.
Seems to work. Seems to work. Before buying this, I read the reviews. Some of the biggest complaints were about the lid. Yes it is light weight and therefore feels cheap. I have not had a problem with it, and it doesn’t seem to give me a problem either pouring the water or refilling the pitcher.The description and box said it had a filter indicator with it. Mine did not. I really don’t care as I can track two months using a calendar (the filter says he efficient for approximately 2 months).
Works great. I like the covered pour spout and lift … Works great. I like the covered pour spout and lift up access to fill. I had the original one for a long time (until I dropped it full by mistake and destroyed it) Very good improvement over the original. Highly recommended.
