Good for the price I gave this item 4 stars out of 5 because the fans on the unit are very weak. I suppose that is because it is made to be used in a refrigerator compartment which would be enclosed so it would not matter. My use was going to be different however, so i got two new fans the right size and changed them both. Now i get a nice air flow for both heat sinks.The fan sizes are 40mm and 90mm in case anyone wants to know for a future order.
Keeping its cool… When used within it’s limits, this little peltier does a great job. I used this to build a climate controlled humidor.A medium sized humidor basically for seasoning. With a temp controller, this keeps the inside of the humidorat a cool 66* F to 70* F, when ambient temps hover at about 80-83* F. Quiet and so far reliable.
Quiet and effective for my temperature-controlled cabinet. Arrived well packed and undamaged. Tested on bench first–both fans operated and the Peltier module quickly cooled the cold side–and the warm side was noticeably warmer to the touch. These heat sinks are more than adequate. I am using it against a small heating element in an insulated temperature-controlled box of about 4 cubic feet that must stay within 3 degrees of a set temperature between 55 and 85 degrees. This seems well-suited for this task, however I wouldn’t try to use it to get…
