Fun way to add magic to your campfire This is so much fun for everyone of all ages! We brought this camping and threw a few packets into the campfire (after making our smores- you aren’t supposed to cook anything over the fire after you toss these in). The colors are fun to watch and the fire will change colors over time. We used about 2-3 packets at a time and they turned the fire different colors for about ~30 minutes. Will definitely bring again on another camping trip. Especially great if you have kids around or for first-time…
I like how small these packets are I like how small these packets are, you can easily just throw it in your pocket if you want. They do light easily and give off a good size flame, I would say about 4-5 inches tall. It was hard to tell when it exactly burned out but I would say somewhere in the 5-7 minute range, which is long enough to start dry wood on fire. I smelled no toxic fumes or anything so hopefully that is a good sign.
Speeds up and simplifies using a chimney starter I don’t like to use charcoal lighter, but I’m cool with whatever else makes my life easier. I typically use a chimney, newspaper, and Weber cubes, but the cubes are a mess (they’re brittle and leave little flammable shavings everywhere). I saw these on Amazon, and thought I’d give them a go. I’m glad I did!
