Self inflating! It’s better than I expected, the self inflation actually worked! I did blow mine up a bit more manually to assist in the comfort level, but the product worked as well as I thought it would. The bag is nice and large so even if you don’t want to pack the pad back up you have a nice sized carrier. The package contained a survival multi tool, as well as a inflatable ‘pillow’, sleep mask, and earplugs.All in all it was quite the value. While I haven’t tested it in the great outdoors…
Ready for more comfort on the trail. My wife and I ordered 2 Redcamp self inflating sleep pads. They were well packed and unrolled nicely. I then gave them some extra puffs to help inflate it, (particularly for there first time) to firm them up. Both my wife and I tested them with our bag and found the pad comfortable. Zero regrets. Very happy I have two other pads, the spongy ones with the reflective side. One rolls up and the other unfolds. I don’t like them because my hip presses through to the ground, it hurts my back&hip, plus it gets cold! I came across a coupon for this so thought I would give it a shot. I am very happy that I did.
