Great Quality Have used Ritchie compass on sailboat for many years.Did not want to get stuck with some “toy” compass. This oneis the real deal.
You might have a better place to mount it than I did I was hoping to find something that has a battery and LED light rather than wired into the car. Not a major problem, just more than I wanted to do running wiring. Then tried to find a place to mount the compass. The way the mount is hinged and the height of the dome prevents it from being mounted parallel to the ground. Sitting it on top of the dash doesn’t work well because the wires would come across the dash or from below and be hard to hide. I didn’t try to compensate for the top of the…
Nice Vintage Addition to Vintage Truck Very attractive addition to my pickup truck that did not have a compass. One added bonus, it works well as a level indicator when camping, too. The wire for the light is too short to do any real good, so you will need to run your own wire from whatever source you may choose to very near the mount point.
