Excellent (adjustable width) Mobile Rig Moutning Bracket Bought the “ROADPRO RP-235 Adjustable Universal Mounting Bracket” to use with my Icom TS-730 for mobile use. It is well built and quite Heavyduty as it’s made with 14 guage steel. It also has a fit range of 6″ to 10″ for wide rigs and the side mount extends down approx 2″ with a ¼” x 1 ½ ” mounting slot. The only hardware is for the adjustable length which can double as mounting bolts to under dash, etc, mounting.
Simple and gets the job done Simple and gets the job done. I do wish it had slightly longer arms though as I ended up with a very tight fit that pops apart easily if I try to adjust it.
Too Big for My Radio Looks to be engineered for medium to larger CB’s. I have a narrow Cobra radio and I had to substitute the screws & nuts issued as part of the bracket kit and discard the single straight portion of the bracket to make the assembly usable for my unit. In hindsight, I should have made my own bracket, otherwise the item looks like it work great for other types of radios.
