The best there is I bought 2 pair 5 years ago. I live in a warm climate and wear shorts most of the year. So most days I’m wearing these shorts.I’ve only had to buy this new pair because, through no fault of the original shorts, they got stained. Otherwise they are still in perfect shape. Super light, cool, and fast drying. I’m so thankful that I was able to find an exact replacement. When it’s perfect, there’s no need to change it up!

I was a bit puzzled by other reviewers not liking the fit, so I measured the waist on a pair that has been worn about 12 times. Great product, please stay the same! I have 2 pairs of these short that are 7-9 years old and they began to show signs of wear and tear: a loose belt buckle here, a hole in a pocket there. Please note that I an an intense hiker and my shorts are used intensively. So I spent 2 hours in Dick’s, REI and Academia trying various shorts by Columbia, REI, North Face, Patagonia, Marmot, BCG and God knows who else.
