NOT good for long-term chilling. Haven’t had any trouble with leakage or “popping” of any of the cells — I think because I’ve kept all three “blankets” intact. After freezing them solid, I used them to line the inside of a soft-sided cooler. I also put a previously-purchased, medium-sized, solid-style Blue Ice block into the same cooler. The blankets are NOT good for long-term chilling — at least not on a warm day. Elapsed time from packing to lunch: less than 8 hours. The blankets did not remain cold very…

I would buy them again. They do a great job. Although they do leak, they die slowly. 1/36 of the blanket at a time. I keep a towel between the ice blanket and my skin/clothing to catch the leaks. I think they leak because of bending the plastic when it’s really cold. If you are careful about laying them somewhat flat when freezing, that will help. Don’t freeze them while rolled up. I have been using 4 blankets, two at a time, five times a day, since 1/27/16. So far a total of five cells out of 144 have leaked. Not bad at all. By the way,…

Longevity may be an issue… Glad I waited to review this. Started out good, but before long I started developing “leakers”. Have had these before and didn’t have any problems for years. Not sure if they are made cheaper now or what the problem is but I have 13 of the 36 cells either currently leaking or completely empty. That means that every night I have to wipe off my Jug that the “blanket” wraps around inside my cooler, and the blanket, and the cooler interior. That’s getting a little old. Use it 4 days…
