Cheap(thin), though it fits and works. Smaller and thinner than I expected. I actually had to bend it because it got bent while still in the box from shipping. Luckily it is so thin, that I just used my bare hands. I should have figured at this price and from RR, but it does work on my ’97 TJ

Pretty happy with this mount Pretty happy with this mount. I have it supporting my BTECH Mobile UV-5001 VHF/UHF radio. Rugged Ridge did claim my 2001 Jeep TJ used screws instead of rivets but that wasn’t the case. I had to drill out the rivets first and then go buy some self tapping metal screws to secure the mount. Otherwise the mount itself is well designed and sturdy. 4 stars since I had to make a run to the hardware store.

Prompt, Courteous Vendor Alas, it turns out my 2002 TJ has rivets, and not hex screws. I had to “Drill, baby! Drill!” out the rivets, and used two #14 self-tapping screws and some rubber washers to install the mount. Great product. My Uniden Bearcat 980SSB is off my dash, and hanging beautifully from this mount. Highly recommended. Vendor responds quickly and clearly to Q&A. I’ll be buying more products from Rugged Ridge. Well done.
