Great and efficient tool that will make your life easier Yes, this tool doesn’t come with a battery, but I like that it helps reduce the cost when you don’t need it; Ryobi batteries are cross functional between other tools. I never worked with a tool like this before, but it was very easy to handle and get used to. I mainly bought this to cut-out small portions of door frames while laying down new vinyl bathroom flooring… it made the whole process painless and quick.
underpowered and ineffective. also BEWARE – Buying from this seller is not covered by Ryobi warranty I received the RMT1801M without factory packaging and missing an adapter that should be slotted into its base. Spend $8 more and buy it retail.Without having ever turned on a multi-tool before, the Ryobi offering seems a bit under-powered. I’ve seen videos of a handyman powering through a 2×4 with a battery-powered unit and this is nothing like that. Incredible tool for the price! I’ve had a little while to use this thing now, and feel I can write a truthful review.I’ve used multitools from Bosch and makita. While those are superior tools, built for abuse, the ryobi multitool is pretty impressive.
