A Great Little Compass I installed it on an ’88 Boston Whaler Outrage. I installed a larger GPS/Fish Finder, and a water proof mount for a radio. This required moving the factory installed compass. Installation was simple. The location and port for the wire are well designed, which made it easy to snake below deck. First compass I’ve found that works in a car. Works well — reasonably well even inside a car. I drive a Passat and up until this point every compass I’ve tried was wildly inaccurate. This one, after calibration, was close. It’s still slightly off when pointing south, but it’s close enough to get the job done. Comes with DC pigtails, but you have to provide your own plug that you’ll need to splice. If you don’t plug it in it still works, all the power does is turn on the green nightlight. Which would be a little distracting in a car…
