Boots for Walking I wear boots, have been since the mid 70s. Generally hiking boots, sometimes workboots. I findf they give me better support, the heels provide a better posture.These Salomons I find to be very comfortable pair of boots, once I updated for better sizing. Found these run a bit narrower, a bit smaller than my other hiking boot purchases (Keen, Lowa, Zamberlan), had to tick up about a 1/2 size. I really like the amount of arch support. Very comfortable from the very first time wearing Very comfortable from the very first time wearing. However after a couple of weeks of wear, the soles are separating from the shoes at the back over the heel. Would have expected shoes this expensive to wear better. Very disappointed.

Thru Hiked the Appalachian Trail with this boot I began my thru hike of the AT in Feb with the original version of this boot. It lasted me over 1,000 miles until PA where the rocks kind of tore it up a bit. The boot was still good to go but I had a pair of unused Merrell’s waiting at home so I decided to get those sent out.
