Taking longer to break in than I anticipated So I’m a female and purchased these because they were $100 cheaper that the Women’s version (Although the price of these jumped up significantly over the past week…most likely from another vendor). Still Breaking Them In, But Very Happy So Far So far, so good. But we all know that time is the measure of good hiking boots. I expect good hiking boots to last through 10 years of heavy use. Thru Hiked the Appalachian Trail with this boot I began my thru hike of the AT in Feb with the original version of this boot. It lasted me over 1,000 miles until PA where the rocks kind of tore it up a bit. The boot was still good to go but I had a pair of unused Merrell’s waiting at home so I decided to get those sent out.
