Cozy fit and very comfortable Oh these are comfy. They need to be broken in, but boy do they fit well. I do have to make sure to wear extra tall socks. Otherwise, the tops rub on the back of my leg. I’m hoping they’ll loosen up enough for a tighter fit up top.

Too early to write a review? Oh well.. The boots are gorgeous. Lots of snazz, and seem well put together. With the thickest sock Darn Tough makes, the boots were tight. With the second thinnest one, too big. That seems about right. I have a really long big toe. It’s going to jam in steep descents. Can’t blame the boot, I’m weird. I will live, like I did with my Vasque boots because I think it will be only a slight horrible crushing.

Thru Hiked the Appalachian Trail with this boot I began my thru hike of the AT in Feb with the original version of this boot. It lasted me over 1,000 miles until PA where the rocks kind of tore it up a bit. The boot was still good to go but I had a pair of unused Merrell’s waiting at home so I decided to get those sent out.
