Bad snap on sheath The Axe is great !! Good balance and very nice grip. I love the textured hammer head – well done !! The Kydex sheath, though, could be designed and built better. My suggestions:
Quality hatchet, comfortable handle – Very pleased with my purchase! I’ve watched videos, read reviews…pretty much “reviewed” out on selecting a hatchet. I settled on the Schrade SCAXE2 and I am highly pleased. If you want the manufacturer specs, the seller has those posted. As far as the actual specs, here you go. Incredible value The picture makes it look much bigger than it actually is. It’s just about exactly 1 foot long, with a 5 1/2 inch long head. The handle is a very strong type of plastic material, and it looks great. The rubber grip gives excellent grip and it very comfortable to hold at the same time. The head is thick, but not too thick and has a nice flat grind on the edge. It comes slightly sharpened, but can be made to have an absolute razor edge, which holds excellently.
