No more bugs! We live in the high desert in Arizona, and we live outside town. Flies, moths, gnats and no-see-ums galore! This head-net was created just for us. We’re remodeling our cabin right now, so going inside isn’t an option. We have to be able to stay outside for more than 2-3 minutes at a time. Our nets are black, so visibility is very good, I don’t feel “claustrophobic”, and it’s so light that I almost don’t know I’m wearing it. Very easy to get used to.
FANTASTIC. LONG ENOUGH TO TUCK INTO COLLAR. This is a great net. The mesh is soft. The net fits over a hat and is long enough to tuck into your shirt collar such that it stays in. Bought this for a bug-o-phobe who loves the outdoors but hates (hates!) bugs. He’s going on a 30-day backpacking trip. He’s looked forward to it, but he relaxed and got excited for the first time when he tried on the net and realized it was comfortable and functional and that he won’t have bugs in his face for a month. Depends on what you need this for. I spend four months each year on an island in the Gulf of Mexico. When it’s warm and humid with no wind, the no-see-ums could eat you alive. I purchased this head net with the optional insect shield because of the great reviews. My results were mixed.
