  • Hypalon roll top closure does not wick moisture

Lightweight ‘insurance’ for keeping pack contents dry I purchased this 20L dry sack to store around my sleeping bag when backpacking, just in case water leaks inside the pack (which is protected by a rain cover). It’s just extra insurance for keeping a down sleeping bag dry. It’s very light and weighs less than 3 ounces. When not in use while backpacking, I bring it along with my day pack on hikes so that if it starts raining, I can throw the contents of my day pack inside so they will stay dry.

Great bag! Needed something to keep some cloths dry after a very wet camping trip last year- I got the 4liter witch is about the size of a large zip lock bag. Stuffed 3 shirts, 3 boxers and 2 pairs of socks in it- fits in my small pack perfectly and now if I get stuck in the rain I at least know ill have clean dry cloths! Probably going to buy another one and a larger one for jeans and hoodies.

You get nearly 2x the water resistance for a little more weight by using the non-Nano version, and even for a weight weenie, it’s probably a better bet to try those.EDIT:I loved these at first. Light. pretty tough. Easy to use. But after about 10 uses, I…
