Can’t complane. Does work! I think there is a learning curve. It did sharpen some larger knives, in conjunction with other sharpener, that I have. Took a bit to get the blade angles where it should be, after that, it seems to work fine. Main thing I found was after sharpening, I had to put the blade on a ceramic to get a nice smooth edge. Over all, I am happy with it, and I think the more I use it, the better I will be at it. On a thick blade, seemed to scratch the finish, some. On a very curvy blade, I had to pull the…
Warning: Selectool is addicting! I recently purchased a Kershaw EDC knife, which was very sharp right out of the box. I love tinkering, so the first thing I did when I got home was break open my Smith sharpener to try and bring out the best in the blade. Well, that was a mistake! Within minutes, I had dulled the blade to the point where it was failing the paper test over and over again.
