Heavy,But 100% Plant Material The hat is heavier than I expected but does seem to be made of “100% plant material” as the hang tag claims. It smells like a bale of hay. Brim works well either down or turned up. Color matches picture. Shades my face well.John’s Wife
Too large and fuel odor. I thought I had a big head, most hats are too small for me. This one is too big for me and sits too low. It looks cute in the picture, but I think the brim is larger than the one in the picture. I am returning the hat to Amazon. It also has a strong odor that I don’t like. It made me cough. It’s an odor like some type of fuel. Oh well, back to the drawing board.
Cute, crushable, versatile sun hat I’m very pleased with this hat! I was a little worried it might have an unpleasant smell (as a number of the reviews mentioned), but even my sensitive schnozz detected nothing but the faint and neutral smell of raffia. If yours is smelly, send it back and ask for another (or wrap it loosely in thin cloth and seal it in a ziplock bag with a bunch of unused cat litter…that soaks up smells amazingly, which is how I got the cigarette smoke smell out of my used laptop…but that’s another…
